『グラスホッパー』原作と映画を見比べた感想 ― After Reading and Watching "Grasshopper"

実は伊坂幸太郎の大大大大ファンである真柴。勿論リアルタイムで映画館でも見ていたのだが、このたびレンタルしてもう一度見返したので感想をば。

期待は薄かったのだが、なかなか楽しんで見ることができた。しかし、カットされている部分も多く、可能であれば映画→原作がベストなのでは。（私が原作→映画だったので、「ここがないとダメでしょう！！！」と思いながら見ていたため。）

やっぱり、監督さんが伊坂さんの大ファンとかじゃないと、カットする部分が「そこ！？」ってなるのかなあ。ラストも「そんなんだったっけ！？」ってなったし。登場人物に設定を付加している部分も多かったし……。

映画に関しては、主人公・鈴木の奥さんがイメージどおりで一人興奮していた思い出と、殺し屋・蝉のバトルシーンが最高にかっこよかった思い出。

とりあえず、グロが好きな私としては、返り血を浴びている様に惚れた。しかし、切り落とされた耳のあの作り物感はもう少し改善できたのでは……とか思ったり。（これ以上この件について書くと、グログロしくなりそうなのでこの辺りで自主規制）

本作の続編的な位置におかれている『マリアビートル』も以前に読んでいたので、それについてはまた後日。

この作品を一言で表すならば、「初めましての人は、映画→原作を推奨」。（どれだけカット部分がショックだったかが分かる最高の一言。）

To tell the truth, I am a big fan of Kotaro Isaka. So of course I watched the roadshow of "Grasshopper" and I had read the novel before then. The reason why I wrote about "Grasshopper" NOW is because I watched it again!

I did not expect it so much, however, it was not so bad. One thing if I point out about the movie, I do not like cutting some scenes because I love the original. You had better watched the movie before you read the original. If you do not want to become the same feeling as I did. I definitely thought that the movie director should be a fan of the original because of it.

Taking of the movie, I was excited to see Suzuki's wife (Suzuki is the main character of these film and novel) and the battle scenes. Haru, a Japanese actress, performed her, and she was really like the character. In addition to that, the battle scenes were so hot. I like Semi, the hit man, the best, and his handing of the knives were really skillful. If I say something about him, his ear cut and fallen down the floor by himself is very very very a sham. I do not mean he should cut down his actual ear, but I think they could make it more real.

I have already read "Mariabeetle" also by Kotaro Isaka, so I will write about it very soon.

I conclude in a word, "YOU SHOULD BETTER WATCHED THE MOVIE BEFORE YOU READ THE BOOK!" Bye for now!
